While visiting his Uncle Ben's grave with his Aunt May, Peter accidentally interfered in three federal agents' attempt to raid a crypt where Professor Mendel Stromm's grave was placed. Teaming up with the three agents to redeem himself, Peter broke into the crypt once more as Spider-Man before discovering that Stromm had created a robot in his own image just before his demise. After successfully defeating Stromm's 'son' just as he had defeated the father, Spider-Man wrote with his webbing an epitaph on the door to the crypt, "Died Again."
